  • Innate Rhythmic Movements and Primitive Reflex Intregration

The fight-flight and freeze responses of our nervous system are there for our survival and protection, but if they continue to persist from poor posture and movements, or from trauma, it can make life very challenging and uncomfortable. This could manifest as depression, anxiety, sensory disorders, aggression, obsessive compulsive disorders, behavior issues, social-emotional challenges, selective mutism, and procrastination.

A nervous system that is frozen or “on alert” cannot feel safe and secure. In these states, an individual may be able to compensate, but it is usually stressful with the underlying survival response influencing their state of mind and actions. Fortunately, we can use a relational approach where we emphasize connection while we give enjoyable, relaxing movements for deep regulation and transformation of the nervous system.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on massaging technique. It uses a light touch to release tension around your body's connective tissue network called fascia. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a very gentle form of bodywork that uses subtle touch, and connect with the nervous system to help release deeply-held tension and restore function through the body. CST uses a light touch to examine membranes and movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of well-being by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity.  Certified Craniosacral Therapist through Upledger Institue International.

Access Bars

Access Bars Therapy is a relaxing and nurturing process that unlocks 32 energy centers and bars, located on the head, by lightly gentle hand touch. This process begins to release the electromagnetic charge or polarity of the thoughts, feelings, emotions, idea, beliefs, considerations and decisions as it is stored in your brain.

Spinal Flow Technique

Spinal Flow Technique finds, identifies and releases layers of physical, chemical and emotion tension, affecting ease in the body. It also uncovers stored trauma that's been in the body for a long time, causing blockages, disease, and illness.

Somatic Movements & Posture Training

Most chronic pain, joint degeneration, and recurring injuries are caused by the way we use our bodies – the way we sit, stand, and move throughout our lives. And our nervous system is responsible for telling us how to use our bodies.

Our nervous system tells us which muscles to contract, when to release them, and how to hold our bodies when we’re just sitting or standing still and moving in space.

Muscle memory is a wonderful thing, because it allows us to get through our daily lives efficiently. But unfortunately, sometimes we learn patterns that damage our bodies–like sitting hunched over at a computer. The only way to change these deeply learned muscular patterns is to re-educate the nervous system.

When we are not in a neutral position our muscles are at the beach, not neurologically available.

These movements and posture training will be taught through videos.

Innate rhythmic movements and primitive reflex integration

Doing Rhythmic Movements regularly provides profound benefits and helps to increase functioning in the following areas:

  • Attention
  • Impulse control
  • Emotional Maturity
  • Sensory Processing
  • Visual Skills
  • Speech and Language Development
  • Brain Connectivity
  • Physical Strength and Stamina

Overview of Rhythmic Movement™(RMT)

Like infant reflexes, Rhythmic Movements are based on natural, spontaneous baby movements. Stimulation from rhythmic movements in the first year of life is fundamental for the development and maturation of the brain.

The brain requires stimulation from the senses for new nerve growth, branching of existing nerves, and myelinization of nerves. The main sensory stimulation for the process of brain maturation comes from the balance, tactile and proprioceptive senses. These three senses are fully engaged while doing rhythmic movements. The rhythmical baby movements done in the first year of life give the brain the stimulation required for maturation and for connectivity between parts of the brain. For many reasons, children may not get enough opportunities to do these rhythmic movements in infancy.

When there is not enough brain stimulation in infancy, it can result in a compromised ability to process sensory information and access the cortex. Access to the cortex is the basis for many skills such as focusing, control of impulses, managing the emotions, abstract thinking, learning, planning, making decisions and using foresight.
